A great opportunity for A level students

The Aesthetica Art Prize is an annual award given by the international art and culture publication Aesthetica Magazine. Distinguished by its dynamic content, merging compelling critical debate and stunning images, the magazine engages with all aspects of visual art and culture, attracting an audience of over 140,000 worldwide.
The Aesthetica Art Prize is a celebration of excellence in art from across the world and offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work to wider audiences and further their involvement in the international art world.
Previous finalists include Julia Vogl, who was shortlisted for New Sensations – Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4′s Prize – and has exhibited at Zabludowicz Collection; Marcus Jansen, a leading modern expressionist who joined a legacy of artists by featuring in Absolut Vodka’s artistic campaigns, and Bernat Millet, also shortlisted for National Portrait Gallery’s Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize.
The Aesthetica Art Prize is committed to innovation in art and we welcome entries from artists working in all media. Artists may submit their work into any one of the four categories:
  • Photographic & Digital Art
  • Three Dimensional Design & Sculpture
  • Painting & Drawing
  • Video, Installation & Performance

Student Prize
  • £500 prize money
  • A group exhibition at York St Mary’s hosted by York Museums Trust and Aesthetica
  • Editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine
  • Publication in the Aesthetica Art Prize accompanying publication
