Year 9 Homework

Using one of your mask portraits, work from the colour palette used by Peter Blake in the 'Kate' Image to create opaque and translucent tones and hues.

Your painting needs to be A5 in scale and you will need to sketch it out lightly first. Remember to leave the white of the page for the white areas in your painting.

Tips: If the person in your mask portrait has brown hair pick out the browns used in 'Kate' to re-create the brown that you need.

If however you have already completed a sketch of your mask portrait during the lesson, complete a copy of 'Kate' taking into consideration the colour palette and the ways in which the colours are mixed. Consider how you will mix your own colour palette for your final piece.
