4, 5, 6 or 7 years old on 1st September, 2012 8, 9 or 10 years old on 1st September, 2012 11, 12 or 13 years old on 1st September, 2012 14 or 15 years old on 1st September, 2012 (GCSE) 16 or 17 years old on 1st September, 2012 (A Level)
Materials
Oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, crayon, pencil or ink - no computer generated art and NO WRITING ON THE PICTURE. Collage is not encouraged but may be accepted at the discretion of the judges.
Size of Paper
Up to A3 (42cm x 30cm), GCSE and A Level work up to A2
Number of Entries
One per child accompanied by £2.00 entry fee - not less than 10 in any one age group (this does not apply to GCSE and A Level), the more entered, the more displayed
Labelling of Work
ame, age on 1st September and school must be clearly marked in BLOCK CAPITALS on the back of each entry
All entries must be received by Friday, 25th January, 2013
Deadline Prizes
First, second and third for each category up to 15 years
The Rector’s Prize for a picture by an A Level student, selected by Dr. Paul Thompson, Rector of The Royal College of Art
The London Sketch Club Prize for a drawing selected by a member of that Club
The Frayling Prize selected by Professor Sir Christopher Frayling, former Rector of The Royal College of Art
Exhibition
Exhibitors will be notified after the judging in February 2013 - the number of pictures exhibited from a particular school will depend on the number submitted by that school
Entrance Fee to Exhibition
£3.00 per adult which includes a catalogue and refreshments, children are free.
